About the Role: We're seeking a dynamic individual located in Trinidad and Tobago with proficiency in P&ID design using CAD technologies, specifically Hexagon Smart Plant P&ID, with an understanding of its database functionality, to join our team. The position requires a balance of technical skills, teamwork, and administrative duties to support project success and client satisfaction. Needed Skills & Experience Possesses foundational skills in designing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This includes an ability to interpret and create detailed process flow diagrams that outline the workings of industrial plants. Demonstrates advanced proficiency in using Hexagon's Smart Plant P&ID software, a specialized tool for creating detailed and accurate P&IDs. This includes both the creation and modification of diagrams to meet specific engineering requirements. Has a fundamental understanding of the database capabilities of Hexagon Smart Plant P&ID, including how to access and manage data related to P&ID components and their configurations within the software. Highly focused on details, with a strong track record of ensuring precision and adherence to standards in project outputs. Skilled in implementing quality assurance protocols and performing quality control checks to ensure all deliverables are accurate and meet required specifications. Possesses strong verbal and written communication abilities, essential for effective teamwork and project management. Organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while working collaboratively with teams to achieve project goals. Highly skilled in adopting and utilizing various technological tools and software, which enhances productivity and efficiency in technical workflows and project implementations. Brings hands-on experience in operating within the environments of refineries or chemical plants, with an understanding of the processes, safety protocols, and operational dynamics specific to these industrial settings. Demonstrates a priority-driven approach with a proven ability to focus on critical tasks, efficiently allocate time and resources, and meet or exceed project deadlines consistently. Expert in drafting detailed process, utility, and instrumentation diagrams specifically for downstream oil refineries, utilizing virtual tools to simulate and design complex refinery processes, ensuring high accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: Use Smart Plant P&ID (SPPID) software for the design and upkeep of P&IDs. Proactively tackle complex issues, knowing when to seek further guidance. Keep the CAD Team manager informed about work progress, timelines, and deadlines as needed. Actively contribute to CAD Team meetings. Share insights with the CAD Team to aid in their development. Prioritize and communicate daily tasks within the CAD Team. Apply understanding of project scope and timelines when performing CAD QAQC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) tasks. Manage your schedule efficiently to fulfill project requirements and ensure a minimum of 40 hours of billable work each week. Enhance and refine documentation processes (using Notion, Asana, GDrive) for various P&ID QAQC procedures. Handle project-related administrative duties, including time tracking, daily summaries, setting objectives, and monitoring deadlines. Foster an innovative culture by constantly looking for better solutions to challenges in the industry. Promote a culture of professionalism, support, and excellence in all client interactions. Must Haves To embark on this exciting SmartPlant adventure, a few requirements are essential: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Piping Designer, with at least 2 years working in SPPID.
